BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Aria qualified in Stockholm Sweden has been practicing in the UK since 1999. He has been the Principal Dentist at The Harrow Dental Practice since 2001. He holds a Master of Science in Implantology and an MSc in lasers in dentistry from AALZ in Germany. Dr Aria received a WCLI mastership in 2021. He is a member of the Association of Dental Implantologists (ADI), the International Team of Implantology (ITI), The British Dental Association (BDA), the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD), World Clinical Laser Institute (WCLI) and The International Society of Laser Dentistry (ISLD). Straumann has awarded Dr. Aria gold member status for his dental implant achievements, and he is a keynote speaker for Neoss Dental Implant. Since receiving his MSc in Laser Dentistry, Dr Aria has performed numerous procedures using lasers from laser-assisted oral surgery, laser-assisted implant placement, and periodontal/ peri-implantitis treatment, especially for medically compromised patients. He is passionate about the benefits of using dental lasers and is eager to educate and share these benefits with his peers.

Nick is the founder and owner of Dental Laser Coaching and the acting Director of Laser Mastery, a Division of Fortune. Over the last five years, Nick has done over 250 in-office All Tissue Laser coaching sessions educating dentists on how to optimize their Laser clinically by adjusting technique, live over-the-shoulder-live case consulting, and team training on Laser communication and process tools to utilize the Laser as a catalyst for production increases. Nick is a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry and has achieved his Standard & Advanced Proficiency in Laser Dentistry and is the moderator for ALD’s “Business of Dentistry”. Nick’s previous dental experience includes VP of Sales & Marketing for PIPStek (Currently owned by Sonendo), VP of Sales and Marketing for Implant Logistics, and helped create The Dominican Training Institute, which is a hands-on surgical implant training course. He was also the Director of Sales & Marketing for HOYA ConBio’s Dental Division. Nick has his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Iowa State University and earned an MBA from Creighton University. Nick has certifications in both Project Management & e-commerce from Georgia Tech University and completed The Program on Negotiation from Harvard Law School.

Dr. Arun Darbar is a multi-award-winning Laser and Aesthetic Dentist. At the forefront of Laser Dentistry, he has been dedicated to providing cutting-edge dentistry to his patients for over 35 years. He is an Accredited Member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) and is an examiner and the past credentialing committee chair. Dr. Darbar continuously runs courses and trains dentists worldwide. He is also an invited speaker and published author on lasers in dentistry worldwide. Instrumental in pioneering the use of Photobiomodulation therapy using high-power surgical lasers with diffusers. He continues to be involved in research & development, designs, and beta testing of numerous laser units. As a leading member of the ALD is the past president of ALD, holds a ‘Masters’ and ‘Certified Educator’, and ‘Certification Course Trainer’ status, served on the ALD Board of Directors, the International Relations Committee Chair, and co-chaired the Education and Certification committees and invited member of the Science and Research committee and is also an examiner. NATALIA ELSON, DDS

Natalia Elson, Clinical Assistant Professor & Group Practice Director, NYU College of Dentistry, received her DDS degree at Dnepropetrovsk Medical Institute, Ukraine in 1977. After finishing the General Practice Residency at the same Institution in 1978, she was practicing as a General Dentist in Ukraine and Georgia. Dr. Elson completed Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Residency in 1986 and after moving with her family to Estonia, opened her Private Practice and was lecturing at Tartu University. In 2003 she moved to the USA, graduated from NYU College of Dentistry in 2010, completed General Practice Residency in 2011, opened her Private Practice, and was appointed as a Clinical Instructor at NYU College of Dentistry in 2013 and promoted to Clinical Assistant Professor in 2017. She is a member of multiple Dental Associations, certified in Laser Dentistry, Digital Dentistry, and Photobiomodulation.

Dr. JOHN GRAEBER, DMD

John Graeber, DMD Laser Clinician and Educator. John J. Graeber, DMD is a distinguished UMDNJ (Rutgers) alumnus from the class of 1972. He has maintained an advanced technology practice in East Hanover, New Jersey for 48 years. He is a pioneer in the use of lasers in General Practice beginning in 1991. In his practice of Comprehensive Dentistry, he utilizes diode, Nd: YAG, Erbium, and Biomodulation laser devices routinely. He co-founded and is a Past President of the Academy of Laser Dentistry. An author of more than 22 nationally published articles and a recent Textbook on High-Tech Diagnostics and Caries treatment (Microinvasive Dentistry: Clinical Strategies and Tools) Dr. Graeber has attained Fellowship and Mastership in both the Academies of General and Laser Dentistry. He has been honored with a Fellowship in the International College of Dentists. Dr Graeber has lectured nationally and Internationally for the past 27 years. He has served as a Component President and Past State Officer of the New Jersey Dental Association.

Dr. Marina Polonsky graduated from the University of Toronto, Canada in 1999, with the Dean’s Gold Medal of Achievement and maintains a private general practice in Ottawa, Canada, with a focus on multi-disciplinary treatment utilizing lasers of different wavelengths. Dr. Polonsky holds a Mastership with WCLI (World Clinical Laser Institute), Master of Science in Lasers in Dentistry degree from RWTH University in Aachen, Germany. She is a recipient of a Mastership Certificate with ALD (Academy of Laser Dentistry), is a recognized member of the ALD Speakers Bureau, and was recently elected to the ALD board of directors. Dr. Polonsky is a founder of the Canadian Dental Laser Institute (CDLI), an AGD/PACE-approved organization dedicated to providing quality continuing education in Laser Dentistry in Canada. CDLI is the only ALD-affiliated international study club in Canada. Dr. Polonsky is actively involved in the educational aspect of dental laser technology by teaching laser safety courses, and Diode and Erbium certification courses, as well as lecturing worldwide on laser-assisted dentistry. She is a faculty member and a Clinical Mentor for Biolase Technologies Inc. Dr. Polonsky is the author of multiple scientific papers and case reports on the uses of lasers in dentistry, she is the chief editor for JLAD (Journal of Laser-Assisted Dentistry) and a peer-reviewer for LIDS (Lasers in Dental Science) and Odontology by Springer. Dr. Romanos is a Professor of Periodontology at Stony Brook University (SBU), School of Dental Medicine (SDM). Professor (Prof. Dr. med. dent.) of Oral Surgery/Implant Dentistry in Frankfurt/Germany; he is a former Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs and Director of Laser Dental Education at SDM; Fully trained in Periodontics, Prosthodontics, and Oral Surgery (Germany, USA); Board Certified in Oral Surgery and Implant Dentistry in Germany; Diplomate by the American Board of Periodontology; He is currently the Past President of the IADR Laser and Biophotonics Group, the Implantology Research Group of the IADR; the Academy of Osseointegration Foundation; Fellow of American Association for Dental Research, the Academy of Osseointegration, Int. MICHAEL SIMMONS

Michael Simmons DMD, MPH also has a Master’s degree in sleep medicine and Laser dentistry and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Simmons is a strong advocate for dentists' engagement in sleep medicine. Dr Simmons has conducted original research published on topics of sleep medicine, and pain management, lectured internationally on these topics, and taught at UCLA’s dental school for over 30 years as part-time faculty. He is also politically very active in writing health resolutions for both the ADA and California Dental Association for over a decade.

GRACE SUN, DDS

Dr. Grace Sun, a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, has been practicing advanced cosmetic and laser dentistry in her Los Angeles practice since 1983. Dr. Sun’s interdisciplinary training is far-reaching, specializing in cosmetic and laser dentistry, prosthodontics, orthodontics, implant dentistry, and dental ceramics. She is a champion of the overall well-being of the patient combining traditional dentistry and integrative treatment modalities like photobiomodulation and dental acupuncture. A lifelong learner holding many prestigious distinctions from various dental academies, Dr. Sun is an Accredited Fellow with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), a Master of the Academy of Laser Dentistry and a Master of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). Prof. Dr. Tosun Tosun graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Istanbul, Turkey in 1989. He has been the owner of a private practice in Istanbul since 1990. He obtained a PhD degree in Oral Implantology at the University of Istanbul (1990-97). He received a Mastership in Dental Lasers from the AALZ-Aachen University, Germany (2010-11) and an MSc in Dental Lasers from the University of Genoa, Italy (2013-14). Currently, he is a professor in the Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Dental Medicine School, Istanbul Aydin University where he was the Dean between 2019-and 2022 for three years. He is a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), an Advanced Instructor of Laser and Health Academy, a Certified Expert in Oral Implantology of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Orale Implantologie (DGOI) and regularly presents papers in various national and international congresses and scientific publications.

Thomas G. Wiedemann, MD, PhD, DDS, Clinical Associate Professor and full-time faculty at New York University, College of Dentistry, Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. 
Prof. Wiedemann´s career consists of more than 27 years of surgical and educational experience in an academic setting and successfully operating a private practice providing the full spectrum of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Implant Dentistry.  He has special interests in dental emergency care, pain management, minimally invasive surgical strategies, and techniques of the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He has acquired extensive expertise in dentoalveolar and implant surgery with multiple implant systems since 1995. He is well versed in innovative concepts of alveolar ridge augmentation and reconstruction and soft tissue regeneration, robotic guided- and piezo-surgery.  He is the author of many publications, a speaker at national and international conferences on oral surgery and implantology-related topics, and serves on the editorial board of several renowned and peer-reviewed scientific journals. ALFRED D. WYATT, JR.,

BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Alfred Wyatt, Jr. has been in the private practice of dentistry for over 39 years and has studied lasers and light technologies in dentistry for over 20 years. A native of Atlanta GA, Dr. Wyatt was educated in the Atlanta Public School system. He received a B.S. degree in biology from Clark College in 1980 and his DMD from the Medical College of Georgia (School of Dentistry) in 1984. He presently serves at his alma mater (now the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University) as an Associate Professor of Oral Rehabilitation. Dr. Wyatt is also a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD) where he has served on the board of directors and attained Advanced Proficiency and Educator Status. He is past chair of the Education Committee of the ALD and is presently serving on the Education and Certification Testing Committee. He has used several types of lasers in his practice and has been the author or co-author of several publications related to the clinical use of light technologies. Over the years, he has trained dentists internationally in the use of various light technologies as well. He also presently serves as a dental editor for WebMD. Aside from his practice, Dr. Wyatt has participated in numerous health fairs, taken mission trips to Haiti, treated athletes and other dignitaries in the Olympic Village during the 1996 Olympiad in Atlanta, and volunteered at the Ben Massell dental clinic.
